Commercial Export Inquiries

Hardwood Logs

Discuss regional hardwood logs in container quantities, sourced around your species, size ranges and quality requirements.

Discuss a Log Export Order

Kentucky Wood Products welcomes inquiries from overseas buyers seeking container quantities of hardwood logs from our region. Start with the species, acceptable size ranges and quality requirements you need, and we'll discuss what can be sourced to meet the requirement.

We are interested in ongoing container supply relationships. A buyer beginning with a single commercial container is also welcome to start a conversation.

Featured Regional Species

Our initial export focus includes:

  • Black Walnut.
  • White Oak.
  • Poplar.
  • Hickory.

If you need another species, tell us what you are looking for. Other species available in the region may be possible to source. Regional availability does not mean every species is currently held in inventory.

Tell Us What Range Works for You

Logs are a natural product. Share your acceptable diameter and length ranges, along with the quality requirements and defect tolerances that matter to your application. We will discuss sourcing against mutually understood ranges rather than exact manufactured dimensions.

The general starting point is fresh-cut, green and reasonably sound commercial logs. Buyer-specific acceptance requirements need to be discussed before an offering is developed. Let us know whether end sealing or another end treatment is required.

Container Quantities

Tell us how many containers you anticipate and whether the requirement is expected to recur. Container selection and loading arrangements depend on the logs, their dimensions, species and weight, as well as transportation and buyer requirements. These details are worked through for the proposed shipment.

See the Logs Being Offered

Photographs of the actual logs being offered should normally be part of the discussion. They help buyer and supplier review the proposed material against the requirement.

Discuss the Shipment Scope

For an export order, we can quote the work required to source and accumulate the logs, prepare the shipment, load the container and arrange inland transportation toward the export port. The exact scope and pricing are established for the individual transaction.

This quoted U.S.-side work does not by itself include ocean freight, destination-port handling, customs clearance, duties or destination-country import compliance. Those responsibilities and commercial terms must be agreed for the individual transaction before an order is accepted.

  • Preferred container size, if known; otherwise tell us you would like to discuss it.
  • Destination country and port.
